Join us for Freedom Day, 2024 with storyteller Kelly Campos. A day of Recognition, Restoration and Celebration! All ages are welcome as we commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.   

Grades 6-8, but older friends and siblings are welcome!

Summer chess is back at the Library! Join us for this eight-week session as Mr. Steve teaches the basics of chess, and provides open play time for those eager to try out their new-found knowledge.

During the eight-week session, students will compete with each other to determine who will represent Carol Stream at the inter-library chess tournament at the end of the summer.

Get ready for an all ages storytime featuring stories, music and movement!

An interactive storytime that pairs themed and social-emotional learning books with movement and mindfulness. Practice yoga poses, play with active songs, and have some mindful moments for focus and relaxation.

Yoga's a great way to experience movement and relaxation at your own pace, so join us for themed kids poses, active games and breathing and mindfulness breaks. For grades 1-5.

Wear your brightest colors and get ready to fill your hearts with Pride as we share a special storytime focusing on love, diversity, inclusivity and acceptance. We'll sing, dance, read stories and listen to great music!

Got boogie fever? Want to shake a tail feather? Students will learn dance fundamentals, work on their musicality and rhythm, and use their imagination through creative movement with an instructor from Flourish Dance Academy.

For ages 2-6, with caregiver. We’ll have playful learning stations for child and caregiver to explore farms and farm animals in a fun and tactile way!

Drop in anytime from 10:00-12:00 to play and learn with your child.
