Program Description

Event Details

Denis Kania of the DuPage Birding Club has traveled around the world to see 212 different species of hummingbirds. Denis will begin by giving us a world perspective of hummingbirds and then he will talk about the lives and behaviors of our local species, the Ruby-throated Hummingbird, and how we can make our yards appealing to these amazing creatures.

Since 1971, this club has been teaching members about building soil quality and taking care of garden pests naturally. A well-run ecological garden attracts birds and beneficial insects that help keep pests to a minimum and pollinate the plants. The programs are hosted by the DuPage Organic Garden Club and the Carol Stream Public Library.

When you register for this event, we will email you a link to a Zoom meeting. Participants must have a phone, tablet or laptop in order to participate. If you need any help, please send us an email at cstream@cslibrary.org or call us at 630-344-6123.
