June 1 – August 14

Welcome to Camp Hiawatha: the annual reading tradition at the Carol Stream Public Library. From your own gardens, to healthy living ideas, to a world-tour of literature, we will get curious and learn lots together all summer!  Camp Hiawatha is also a great place to level-up your reading by competing for prizes and exchanging book reviews with your neighbors.

HOW CAMP HIAWATHA FOR ADULTS WORKS:

Read or listen to any book you like and record your books online to earn entries for a prize basket featuring a Kindle Fire. Three winners will be drawn when Camp Hiawatha ends on August 14. Each book you record earns you one entry into the drawing. You can earn a bonus entry by adding a book review!  And, stop by the Adult Services Desk to pick up a little surprise just for participating!  Track your reading online: cslibrary.readsquared.com/

HOW THE CAMP HIAWATHA FAMILY PRIZE DRAWING WORKS:

If one adult and a teen or child from their family participate in Camp Hiawatha Summer Reading, you're eligible for our Family Prize Drawing. This year's Family prize is a Nintendo Switch!   When an adult registers online for the Adult Summer Reading Program, there will be a check-box that will automatically enter you into the Family Prize Drawing.  One entry per parent/child team.
