Program Description

Event Details

This presentation covers both the art and science of gardening in the shade. Master Gardener Nancy Bell will discuss how to garden in the shade and give a variety of plant options beyond the usual hosta and fern. You’ll also learn other elements that are needed to round out a relaxing space that connects you with nature.

Since 1971, this club has been teaching members about building soil quality and taking care of garden pests naturally. A well-run ecological garden attracts birds and beneficial insects that help keep pests to a minimum and pollinate the plants. The programs are hosted by the DuPage Organic Garden Club and the Carol Stream Public Library.

When you register for this event, we will email you a link to a Zoom meeting. Participants must have a phone, tablet or laptop in order to participate. If you need any help, please send us an email at cstream@cslibrary.org or call us at 630-344-6123.
